An official at the Saudi Interior Ministry said flights would be allowed only under special circumstances. The Saudi government says flights have been opened for foreign nationals in Saudi Arabia to leave the country and transport cargo.Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman announced last year that they would suspend passenger flights. The UK has also closed land and sea routes, citing a new version of the corona virus.Oman and Kuwait have said they will lift sanctions on December 29 and January 1, respectively. Earlier this month, Saudi Arabia launched a vaccination campaign developed by Pfizer-Bioentech.
So far, 362,000 people in Saudi Arabia have been infected with the corona. More than 6,000 people have died from corona infections here. Saudi Arabia has the highest number of deaths among Arab nations.
