saptari – Medical Education and Health Sector Reform Engineer Govinda KC has termed the move of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to dissolve the House of Representatives as illegal and unauthorized and said that the rule of law and constitution should be established unconditionally.
KC issued a statement on Sunday stressing the need to oppose the Prime Minister’s authoritarian tendencies. “In the alternative reality of his (Oli’s) wanderings, the constitution of the country is made for his own self-interest, so the day his self-interest is inflamed, the day the constitution is justified,” the statement said.
KC is of the view that those who make the constitution ‘football of their own interest’ should be punished. “This country is not the private property of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and President Vidya Bhandari. In the same way, no one will forget how King Gyanendra, who once considered the country as his property, was stopped by the people, ‘he wrote. ‘
Stating that the citizens are expecting the court to rectify the step taken by exercising the right not in the constitution, KC said that the court is also under fire at this time. “No matter what the court decides, the responsibility to protect the rule of law and the constitution from the onslaught of those in power frenzy will always remain with our citizens,” the statement said.
KC is of the view that the paradoxical situation where the rule of law should be remembered only when the leaders of other factions and parties other than the KP Oli faction of the ruling party are ousted from power should end.
