A clash has broken out between CPN-UML’s Madhav Nepal group and KP Oli group in Kailali.
A clash has erupted between Oli and Madhav cadres over the placement of a CPN-UML signboard at the party’s Far Western Provincial Office in Dhangadhi, Kailali. On Wednesday morning, the Nepal group put up a board written by the CPN-UML at the provincial office. However, after some time, the cadres of Prime Minister Oli’s group removed the board. The clash took place after the Oli group cadres started removing their boards.
Police have been mobilized for security after the clash between the two sides. Police has been mobilized under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police and Armed Police has been present.The CPN (UML) has also written on the board of Oli group after removing the board of Madhav group. However, the leader of the Madhav group has alleged that the board was removed by the Oli group in retaliation. According to a leader of the Madhav group, if such retaliation is carried out, there will be problems in the coming days to move the party’s activities forward.
The CPN-UML and the CPN-Maoist have become two different parties after the Supreme Court’s decision on Sunday revived them. With the formation of two different parties, the process of setting up boards and establishing offices in the districts and states from the center is underway.Similarly, a UML board was set up in Dhangadhi on Tuesday morning. However, the Oli group has argued that the board was set up by the Madhav group.
Similarly, Lekhraj Bhatt, UML Far West in-charge has been appointed in the office while Karna Bahadur Thapa is the chairman. Earlier, Bhim Rawal was in-charge after CPN-UML.
