Saptari – An old man has died in a fire in Kalanki, Kathmandu.Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Pramesh Bista informed that the old man was found burnt to death at his house in Khadka village of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14 on Tuesday morning.

According to him, the deceased has been identified as Shivaram Khadka, 84.’The window of the room is closed. He seems to be sleeping with the heater on. Initially, the heater caught fire due to short circuit. When the police arrived, the fire was extinguished, ‘said DSP Visht.’ His front part is burnt. People who get up at four o’clock have gone to see other family members to see why they did not wake up till six o’clock.

A team from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Kalimati has taken him to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for postmortem. He said that he was working.
