Saptari – A man has been arrested for trying to sell fake gold saying it is genuine. The crime branch of the metropolitan police and the metropolitan police circle Thankot have arrested the person trying to commit such fraud. The arrested is Raj Sapkota (Sunar), 34, of Godavari in Lalitpur.

Fake gold bracelets, chains and bills for the jewelery have also been recovered from him. Sapkota had absconded from a gold and silver jewelery shop at Thankot check post in Chandragiri Municipality-7 on October 22 after taking a bracelet that looked like gold with a bill and swindling Rs 180,000 in cash.
