Saptari – The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has urged local governments to be frugal in spending.

Stating that the federal, state and local governments should not spend unnecessarily, the ministry has urged to cut the expenditure as much as possible. The Ministry of Finance, however, has made a new decision by amending some of the provisions specified earlier by the criteria to make it easier for the local level to spend.

According to the criteria for maintaining economy in public expenditure, the approval of the Ministry of Finance is required to purchase vehicles, hire employees on contract or add services this year. But the government has said to make decisions that are economical.
